- Dr Rayner graduated in medicine from the University of Adelaide in 1992
Qualifications
He trained in Gastroenterology at Royal Adelaide Hospital between 1997 and 2001. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1999, was accredited by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2001, and has been registered as a Specialist Gastroenterologist with the Medical Board of South Australia since 2002.
He was awarded a PhD by the University of Adelaide in 2001, and undertook post-doctoral training at St Mark’s Hospital, London, in 2002-03. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide and is active in research on gut function.
Special Interests
Dr Rayner has an interest in luminal gastroenterology, endoscopy and colonoscopy. He has expertise in motility and functional disorders, and inflammatory bowel disease.

- Dr Rayner consults and undertakes endoscopy and colonoscopy at Wakefield Hospital and Broken Hill
