Dr Adrian Chung

MBBS (Hons), BMed Sci (Hons), FRACP

Dr Adrian ChungDr Chung graduated in medicine with honours from the University of Tasmania in 2001.  He underwent training in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide and Westmead Hospital, Sydney, obtaining his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2009.

Dr Chung pursued a further year of postgraduate training in advanced endoscopic procedures at Westmead Hospital in 2010, participating in the 2009 and 2010 Westmead International Endoscopy Symposia.  He has accreditation with the Conjoint Committee of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia in endoscopy, colonoscopy, as well as both gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary-pancreatic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

Currently, Dr Chung is employed as a staff specialist gastroenterologist at Flinders Medical Centre.  He also consults and performs endoscopic procedures at the Tennyson Centre, Western Hospital and Flinders Private Hospital.

His interests lie in gastro-oesophageal reflux, coeliac disease and pancreatic disorders.  He also performs interventional endoscopic procedures for the treatment of Barrett’s oesophagus and laterally spreading tumours of the colon, diagnosis and management of pancreatic cystic tumours and EUS guided biopsy.
